Overview
- On Tuesday, TIFF announced 11 final titles that bring the festival program to 293 features and shorts and released the full online schedule for the Sept. 10–20 run.
- The additions include Werner Herzog’s Bucking Fastard and Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine, the latter featuring John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Parker Posey, Steve Buscemi and Tom Waits.
- Three films will have world premieres in Toronto — Closing Night, Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple, and The Road Not Taken — while others arrive as Canadian, North American or international premieres across Galas, Special Presentations and Centrepiece strands.
- TIFF also published its In Conversation With… lineup, listing Lee Min-ho, Rachel Morrison, Chris Rock, Andrew Scott and Hudson Williams for onstage interviews that extend the festival’s public programming and industry profile.
- The completed slate underscores TIFF’s strategy of mixing world premieres and curated premieres to build awards-season momentum and to feed titles into the fall festival and distribution pipeline.
