- The festival’s 50th edition will screen 291 selections from September 4–14, including 209 features, six Classics, 10 Primetime titles and 66 short films.
- Six films complete the slate with world premieres for Claire Denis’s The Fence and Pablo Trapero’s & Sons and North American premieres for Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice, Olivier Assayas’s The Wizard of the Kremlin, Cédric Jimenez’s Dog 51 and Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Voice of Hind Rajab.
- The star-centric In Conversation With… series will host Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, Tessa Thompson, Park Chan-wook and Nia DaCosta alongside a Gen Z–focused Close-Up event featuring Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo.
- Colin Hanks’s John Candy: I Like Me will open TIFF 50 as the Opening Night Gala world premiere, with producer-actor Ryan Reynolds set to discuss the film.
- Key ticketing milestones include member pre-sales starting August 15 and single tickets available to the public on August 25.
