Overview

  • Tickets for the June 14 celebration at Rate Field go on sale Friday, May 30 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster for $5 each with on-site parking priced at an additional $5.
  • Gates open at 12:30 p.m., programming begins at 2:30 p.m., and Cardinal Blase Cupich will preside over a 4 p.m. Mass emceed by Chuck Swirsky.
  • Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost and a lifelong White Sox fan, will deliver a pre-recorded video message aimed at young people worldwide but will not take part in the live Mass.
  • The Archdiocese of Chicago has organized music performances, film screenings, in-person testimonials and prayers as part of the event.
  • The White Sox have unveiled a graphic installation at Rate Field honoring the pontiff near the concourse where he sat during Game 1 of the 2005 World Series.
