- Beyond Fest and the American Cinematheque will run Está Vivo: The Gods and Monsters of Guillermo del Toro from Sept. 23 to Oct. 8 at the Egyptian Theatre, with two additional screenings at Los Feliz 3.
- Tickets went on sale Sept. 4 at 12:00 pm PST via the American Cinematheque website.
- Guillermo del Toro is set for four in-person Q&As on Oct. 4–5 tied to curated blocks covering romance, comic adaptations, early works, and Pan’s Labyrinth.
- The lineup includes the theatrical premiere of the 4K restoration of Cronos, a 4K restoration of The Devil’s Backbone, the Mimic director’s cut, rare 35mm presentations, and a 159‑minute, director‑supervised Nightmare Alley: Vision in Darkness and Light.
- Pacific Rim (Oct. 10) and Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (Oct. 18) screen at Los Feliz 3 without the director, as the retrospective aligns with the rollout of Frankenstein in theaters on Oct. 17 and on Netflix Nov. 7.
