Tic Kids Online 2025 Finds Influencer Videos Lead Youth Viewing as Ads Saturate Screens

  • Ninety‑two percent of Brazilians aged 9 to 17 use the internet, representing about 24.5 million users, with smartphones cited by 96% as the primary access device.
  • Among users 9 to 17, 46% watch influencer content more than once a day, surpassing daily viewing of series and films at 35%, with strong interest in unboxings and product tutorials.
  • More than half of 11‑ to 17‑year‑olds reported seeing digital advertising on social networks (55%), video sites (52%) and television (52%), and 51% asked parents for products after online ads.
  • One in five youths aged 11 to 17 said they had received sexual messages or solicitations online, while reported protective actions declined versus 2023, including fewer blocking unwanted messages.
  • For the first time the survey measured generative AI use, finding 65% of users 9 to 17 employed it for schoolwork, information searches, content creation or emotional conversation, as parental technical mediation remained uneven.
