Overview

• The restriction is in force across Mexico City and the harmonized set of State of Mexico municipalities within the metropolitan area.
• Vehicles with green stickers and plate endings 1 and 2 that carry verification holograms 1 or 2 must stay off the road from 5:00 to 22:00.
• Exempt categories include holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid vehicles, public transport and taxis, vehicles for people with disabilities, and health‑care workers with an authorized permit.
• Violations in CDMX can lead to towing and fines of 20 to 30 UMAs, equivalent to roughly MXN 2,074.80 to MXN 3,112.20 under the city’s Traffic Regulation.
• Drivers can confirm current and upcoming restrictions by entering their plate or hologram at hoynocircula.cdmx.gob.mx.
