Thunder's Josh Giddey Cleared of Charges in Underage Relationship Investigation

The Newport Beach Police Department found no corroborating evidence in allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a minor, while the NBA's own investigation continues.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey will not face charges following an investigation into allegations of a relationship with an underage girl, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
The investigation began in November 2023 after photos and videos of Giddey with a girl who was allegedly underage circulated on social media.
The NBA also started an investigation into the allegations, but Commissioner Adam Silver said the league's probe would take a 'backseat' to the criminal investigation.
Giddey has continued to play for the Thunder throughout the investigations, and has faced boos from fans at away games.
The NBA has not yet announced the conclusion of its own investigation into the matter.
