Overview

- On February 13, during a Waterbury pursuit after an attempted carjacking on Waterville Street, Arian Perez-Feliciano allegedly opened fire on Detective Ronald Sackett, striking him in the thigh.
- Detective Sackett returned fire without striking the suspects and was treated at Waterbury Hospital for a wound to his upper leg.
- Conviction on all seven counts—spanning Hobbs Act robbery, attempted and completed carjacking and multiple firearms charges—carries a mandatory minimum of 17 years in prison up to life imprisonment.
