Overview
- Emergency services were called to Southbank around 1:50am after reports of a brawl on the Yarra Promenade.
- Police say a group of teenagers bumped a family member, a verbal exchange followed, and a 47-year-old father and his 23-year-old son were allegedly assaulted and stabbed.
- Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
- Five males aged 14 to 17 were arrested shortly after the incident, with three — ages 14, 15 and 17 — charged on a range of offences and two — ages 14 and 16 — released pending summons to a children’s court.
