- The girls accepted a plea deal that reduced their charges from second-degree murder and sentenced them to 20 years in prison, with a minimum of 15 years to be served.
- A fourth defendant, John Honore, 18, who is alleged to have been driving the car during the incident, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and is expected to be tried on Nov. 27.
- The incident occurred in March 2022, when Frickey was carjacked and then dragged for more than a block while tangled in the driver's side seatbelt, resulting in her arm being severed and her death.
- The girls expressed remorse for their actions in court, with one stating, 'That’s not what we set out to do,' and another saying, 'I hope that you all can forgive me.'
