Overview

• On August 11, 2024, the 12-year-old was lured from an Asda car park in Dover by three Slovakian nationals and held captive for 72 hours.
• Prosecutors told Canterbury Crown Court she was drugged with crystal meth and amphetamine before being repeatedly raped and assaulted across three locations.
• She managed to escape on August 13 by breaking through a caravan window despite threats that she would be killed if she tried to flee.
• A jury convicted Kevin Horvath, Ivan Turtak and Ernest Gunar in June 2025 of multiple sexual offences including rape of a child under 13.
• All three men were remanded in custody until their sentencing on September 12, 2025, while the girl continues therapy for ongoing trauma and anxiety.
