Three Shot at East Harlem Barbecue; Child Injured

Investigators have appealed for witnesses following the release of a suspect description as a man dressed entirely in black.

Overview

  • The shooting erupted just before 9 p.m. on July 10 in front of 212 East 122nd Street near Third Avenue at a routine outdoor cookout.
  • A 25-year-old woman was struck in the right ankle and two men aged 33 and 36 were hit in the right leg; all three were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
  • A 3-year-old boy fell during the chaos and sustained minor injuries before being treated and released.
  • No arrests have been made and the NYPD is actively searching for a male suspect wearing all-black clothing.
