Three Pennsylvania Residents Sentenced in Federal Drug Trafficking Cases
The sentences are the result of a nine-month wiretap investigation into drug trafficking in Jefferson, Clearfield, and Allegheny counties.
- Brent Shaffer, a resident of Olanta, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for violating federal narcotics and firearms laws. He was found to have received parcels containing between 1.5 and 5 kilograms of methamphetamine shipped from California.
- Amy Bortot, a resident of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, and a United States Postal Service mail carrier, has been sentenced to 20 months in prison for violating federal narcotics laws. She used her position to deliver parcels containing methamphetamine and marijuana to drug traffickers.
- Yusuf Adekunle, a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for violating federal narcotics laws. He was involved in transporting six kilograms of cocaine from Houston to Pittsburgh and distributed between 20 and 40 kilograms of marijuana.
- All three cases were part of a nine-month Title III wiretap investigation into drug trafficking in and around the counties of Jefferson, Clearfield, and Allegheny.
- The prosecutions are part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, which aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations.
