Three Men Arrested for Stealing 1,600 Pounds of Beef in Philadelphia

The arrests were part of 'Operation Beef Bandit,' a multi-state investigation targeting high-value cargo thefts.

Douglas Mathis, Jamir Scott, and Tariq Duncan were caught stealing 25 cases of beef worth $7,000 from a truck in Holmesburg on Tuesday.
The suspects were seen breaking the lock on the tractor-trailer and transferring the meat to their van before being apprehended.
All three men face charges including corrupt organizations, theft, and conspiracy, with bail set at $200,000 each.
The arrests are linked to a broader investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies targeting cargo thefts across the tri-state area.
Earlier this month, New Jersey State Police arrested four men in connection with similar thefts of meat, seafood, and alcohol along the New Jersey Turnpike.
