Overview

• The crash occurred around 9 p.m. on Sept. 26 on Deckerville Road near Hurds Corner Road outside Cass City in Ellington Township, Michigan.
• Bill “Papa” Putman, Barb “Neenee” Putman, and Megan Putman were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities and the family said.
• Five relatives — Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah and niece Gia — were hospitalized, with police reporting some in critical condition.
• Deputies said a loaded commercial semi failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a Jeep carrying eight Putman family members.
