Overview
- Baddiel, Skinner and The Lightning Seeds announced Tuesday a 30th-anniversary reissue of Three Lions set for June 12, with pre-orders now open.
- The new edition features artwork by Guardian cartoonist David Squires and includes Remastered, Karaoke, Jules Rimet Extended Mix and Sake Bar Remix versions.
- The vinyl carries the remastered and karaoke tracks, and the CD adds the Jules Rimet Extended Mix and Sake Bar Remix.
- The release date aligns with England’s 2026 World Cup campaign in the United States, Mexico and Canada, and the band’s summer shows provide ready stages for live renditions.
- First released for Euro 96, the anthem is the only UK single to reach No. 1 four times with the same artists, including a leap from No. 24 to No. 1 in 2018.
