Three Killed, Two Injured in Shooting Near University of Cincinnati

Authorities detain two suspects as investigation continues into early morning violence that left three men dead and two hospitalized.

The victims include a father and son, identified as Shawn McDaniel Sr., 45, and Shawn McDaniel Jr., 22.
The incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. near East University and Highland avenues.
Police recovered multiple firearms at the scene and detained two individuals, one of whom was also injured.
The University of Cincinnati issued an 'all clear' message about an hour after the shooting.
This marks the second mass shooting in Cincinnati this year, following a similar incident in June.
