Three Killed, One Wounded in Sunday Shootings Across Chicago

Chicago police say the early-morning attacks are under investigation with no arrests announced.

  • A 23-year-old woman was shot in the arm inside a residence on the 1100 block of North Lawler Avenue at 2:03 a.m. and taken to Stroger in serious condition.
  • At 4:10 a.m., a man with a gunshot wound to the head was dropped off by a black SUV at the 2700 block of West Lithuanian Plaza Court and was pronounced dead at Holy Cross.
  • At 4:46 a.m., a 40-year-old man was shot multiple times inside a home on the 1800 block of South Springfield Avenue and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai.
  • At 10:19 a.m., a 37-year-old man was shot inside a home after someone entered the building and later died at Stroger.
  • The department issued no shooting notifications Friday night or Saturday and said these Sunday incidents remain open investigations.
