Three Killed in Medical Helicopter Crash in Mississippi

The University of Mississippi Medical Center confirmed no survivors after the aircraft went down in a wooded area in Madison County.

A Eurocopter EC-135 medical transport helicopter crashed in a wooded area of Madison County, Mississippi, on Monday afternoon.
The crash claimed the lives of all three people on board: two crew members and the pilot, according to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
No patients were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash, which occurred around 1:15 p.m. local time.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the crash.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves expressed condolences and highlighted the sacrifices made by first responders in a statement.
