Three Injured in Separate Delhi Road Rage Attacks as Police Investigate

Delhi Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify suspects who assaulted drivers with beer bottles and sticks in late-July attacks.

According to a Delhi police statement, The first incident took place around 2:30 am on July 27 in Dwarka Sector 10.

Overview

  • A group of seven to eight men in a BMW and a Thar ambushed Manoj and Kunal at around 2:30 am on July 27 in Dwarka Sector 10 after a honking dispute at a night kitchen.
  • The attackers hurled beer bottles and stones, smashed the victims’ car windows and fled the scene, leaving both men with serious injuries that required private hospital treatment.
  • Around noon on July 25 near Babu Lal Chowk in Munirka, Awadhesh Rai was beaten unconscious with sticks after failing to yield to a honking motorbike rider.
  • Police registered FIRs at Kishangarh police station on July 28, admitted all three injured men to a private hospital and are reviewing CCTV footage while pursuing leads to identify the assailants.
  • Police were alerted to the Dwarka attack by passersby, but the suspects escaped in their vehicles before officers arrived.
