Three Illinois Deputies and Suspect Injured in Shootout

Deputies were responding to threats of suicide and homicide at a residence in the Lost Lake community when they were met with gunfire.

Three Ogle County Sheriff's deputies were shot and injured while responding to a crisis call in Dixon, Illinois.
The suspect, who had threatened both suicide and homicide, was also wounded during the exchange of gunfire.
Despite numerous attempts, hostage negotiators were unable to establish contact with the suspect before entering the home.
All injured parties, including the suspect, are reported to be in good condition.
The Illinois State Police are now leading the investigation into the incident.
