• Police detained Valentina Peroni, 36, her husband Emanuele Paganini, 38, and Elvis Simoni, 33, on suspicion of aggravated homicide, aggravated robbery, arson and destruction of a corpse.
• Investigators say CCTV footage, phone records, interceptions and attempted transactions with the victim’s cards linked the trio to the July 22–23 attack.
• According to the reconstruction, Peroni allegedly lured Hayati Hayim Aroyo to the flat, Simoni stabbed him about 30 times, the body was doused and the apartment set on fire, and Paganini acted as lookout.
