Overview
- Between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Monday, officers responded to three separate shooting scenes across Fort Worth in far south and north neighborhoods
- In the first incident, 19-year-old Emiliano Serna was found in front of a home on Avington Way with an upper-body gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene
- A 10-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the hand during a second call on Burmeister Road and is expected to survive as the Crimes Against Children Unit investigates
- A third shooting on Ellis Avenue near Meacham Airport left one adult with non-life-threatening injuries and remains under inquiry by the gun violence unit with no suspect identified
- These incidents follow a fatal July 20 shooting on Gordon Avenue that is still under homicide investigation with the suspect in custody and victim details pending release
