• The group entered the water around 4 p.m. on Friday at Shiroda-Velaghar beach in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district.
• Rescuers recovered three bodies and continued to look for four others after suspending operations overnight due to rough seas.
• A teenage girl, identified as Isra Imran Kittur, was rescued and is receiving treatment at the Shiroda sub-district hospital.
• The victims came from two families, six from Belagavi’s Kittur family and two from Kudal’s Maniar family, who were visiting the beach together.
• Authorities named the deceased as Fareen Irfan Kittur, Ibad Irfan Kittur, and Namira Aftab Akhtar, with Irfan Mohammad Isaq Kittur, Iqwan Imran Kittur, Farhan Mohammad Maniar, and Zakir Nisar Maniar reported missing.
