Three Dead in Huntsville After Armed Standoff With Police

A man and two women were found deceased in a barricaded home, prompting an investigation by Ontario's police watchdog.

A 52-year-old man contacted police, claiming he had harmed two family members and had weapons in his possession.
Police deployed crisis negotiators and an Emergency Response Team to the residence on Highview Drive.
Communication with the man ceased, leading police to use a drone, which discovered the bodies of two women and the man inside the home.
The SIU has invoked its mandate due to the man's interaction with police, and a post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.
