  • Three deaths, one fetal loss and at least 16 hospitalizations have been reported across 13 states since July 2024.
  • FreshRealm has voluntarily recalled Marketside Grilled Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccine; Marketside Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli; and Home Chef Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo.
  • The affected meals were sold under the Marketside label at Walmart and the Home Chef label at Kroger.
  • A USDA inspection in March found the outbreak strain in a chicken fettuccine Alfredo sample, but the exact contamination source has not been identified.
  • The CDC warns that additional cases may emerge due to Listeria’s long incubation period and cautions that the true case count is likely higher than reported.
