Three Chicago Shootings Leave Several Wounded, Three in Critical Condition

Detectives have opened separate investigations with no arrests reported.

  • Both Lawndale victims were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, according to Chicago police.
  • In West Garfield Park at about 1:30 p.m., someone in a silver sedan carried out a drive-by on the 4700 block of West Harrison Street, critically wounding a 23-year-old man and injuring a 29-year-old man in the hip.
  • An early-morning drive-by in West Elsdon around 12:01 a.m. left a 35-year-old man with a thigh wound; he was taken to Mount Sinai in good condition.
  • Area Four detectives are investigating the Lawndale attack, Area One detectives are handling the West Elsdon case, and police reported no suspects in custody in any of the shootings.
