Three Charged in Northern California Bank Robbery Spree

Defendants allegedly used Instagram to recruit accomplices for a series of bank heists across the Bay Area and Sacramento.

Dontae Jones Jr., Yasmin Millett, and JoMya Mauriyne Futch are accused of robbing at least 10 banks between June 2023 and September 2024.
The trio allegedly recruited women through Instagram to pass threatening notes to bank tellers demanding money.
Jones and Millett reportedly orchestrated the robberies, sometimes using minors or coercing participants with threats.
Futch faces additional charges of perjury for allegedly lying under oath to a grand jury about her involvement.
If convicted, the defendants face decades in prison for conspiracy and robbery, with Futch also facing penalties for perjury.
