Overview
- Justin Francis, 39, of Chequers Road, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a police officer with intent to resist or prevent arrest, conspiracy to commit robbery, and possession of a bladed article.

- Police say a taxi driver was allegedly held at knifepoint on Valley Gardens around 4.20pm on Wednesday before armed officers later detained a suspect on Silverstone Walk.
- During the arrest a police firearm discharged, shooting an officer in the leg; he remains in hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
- All three defendants remain in custody and are due at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court today, as Gloucestershire Police maintain a cordon, continue enquiries, and the IOPC oversees the incident.
