Three Bodies Found in Clandestine Cemetery on Morro da Boa Vista

  • Bope, the Batalhão de Choque and the Military Police canine unit located the burials during searches prompted by a tip, with the bodies buried roughly 1 to 1.5 meters deep.
  • Civil and Scientific Police were called to remove the remains and conduct forensic analyses to identify the victims and establish the origin of the bodies.
  • During follow-up sweeps, officers arrested a man at a residence and seized about 1 kg of marijuana, 120 g of crack, pistol magazines, 12 rounds of ammunition and a precision scale.
  • Authorities have not released identification or demographic details, and investigators say they are assessing possible links to other recent cases without confirming any connection.
