Overview

  • On June 14, masked gunmen stormed Villa Casa Santisya in Munggu and fatally shot 32-year-old Zivan Radmanovic while his wife and another friend were present.
  • Indonesian police apprehended Sydney plumber Darcy Francesco Jenson in Jakarta on June 16 and subsequently detained Mevlut Coskun in Singapore and Paea I Middlemore Tupou in Cambodia, charging all three with premeditated murder and vehicle theft.
  • Two days after the shooting, Radmanovic’s wife, Jazmyn Gourdeas, was allowed to sit with his body in a Bali morgue and later delivered a handwritten appeal for privacy as she grapples with her loss.
  • Sanar Ghanim, another Melbourne man, survived the attack despite being beaten and shot in the leg and is believed to own the villa targeted in the ambush.
  • The motive for the ambush remains unknown and the suspects face the death penalty under Indonesian law as authorities continue to build their case.
