Three Arrested in Suspected Murder of 50-Year-Old Man in Newtownards

Police investigate Boxing Day death; two women and a man remain in custody on suspicion of murder.

Mark Dorrian, 50, was found unconscious in a residential property on West Street, Newtownards, early on Boxing Day and later died in hospital.
Two women, aged 33 and 58, were arrested at the scene, while a 36-year-old man was detained at a nearby address the same day.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has been granted a 36-hour extension to question the three suspects, who remain in custody.
Detectives have described the incident as 'deplorable,' particularly given its occurrence during the Christmas holiday period.
A post-mortem examination is pending, and police have appealed to the public for any information that could aid their investigation.
