Overview
- On July 7 four masked intruders stormed Claudio Occhiuzzi’s Lanús home, held him at gunpoint and threatened his children while using a pneumatic cutter to breach security bars.
- DDI Morón officers identified the suspects’ getaway vehicle on municipal cameras and pursued it until the driver rammed a patrol car and opened fire.
- Three suspects aged 20 to 23 were wounded or taken into custody after a shootout and forced re-entry into the house, and no family members or officers were harmed.
- Police seized a .357 Magnum revolver, a 9mm pistol with extended magazine, burglary tools, metal caltrops and a second stolen vehicle during the operation.
- Two of the detainees had outstanding capture orders from 2022 and 2023 and now face charges under fiscal María Alejandra Bonini’s case in Ituzaingó.
