Three Arrested in Connection with Killing of Off-Duty North Carolina Officer

- Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing: Jamere Justice Foster, 18, Z’quriah Le’Pearce Blackwell, 18, and John Walter Morrison, 28.
- Foster has been charged with first degree murder, larceny, and conspiracy to commit larceny and is being held without bond. Morrison and Blackwell have been charged with accessory after the fact to first degree murder, with Morrison also facing charges of larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny.
- The crime that Sergeant Nix attempted to stop was a theft of over $83 worth of beer, according to warrants obtained by local FOX affiliate WGHP-TV.
