Three Arrested for Theft at Marseille's Notre-Dame de la Garde

The suspects, aged 17 and 18, were caught with stolen offerings after breaking into the historic basilica.

The third suspect, also 18, was arrested shortly after attempting to flee the scene.
Authorities have confirmed the suspects are already known to law enforcement.
The theft occurred just after midnight, with the individuals entering the basilica by climbing onto the roof.
An investigation has been launched for 'aggravated theft' and 'theft by escalade in a place of worship.'
