Overview

• Police say the incident began around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday as a 28-year-old tow truck driver attempted to tow a vehicle in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street.
• A dark-colored car followed the tow truck, and the driver flagged down officers in the 1400 block of West 71st Street.
• Officers soon located the suspected vehicle and detained a 49-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old woman.
• Authorities recovered a firearm, and the driver reported that a man in the pursuing car pointed a gun at him.
• The tow company shared dashcam video it says shows a gun pointed from a car window during the encounter.
