  • The suspects allegedly rammed police and public vehicles and attempted to run over Head Constable Devender and Constable Manish, who were treated at GTB Hospital and are stable.
  • The arrested men were identified as Mashrur, Asif and Aqeel from Uttar Pradesh, and police say they have prior cases including about 17 against Mashrur and 27 against Aqeel.
  • Investigators report the SUV bore a fake registration and was verified as stolen from Mukherjee Nagar on September 2, 2025, with its original number recorded as DL-3CCY-9890.
  • A case has been registered at Vivek Vihar police station and the probe is tracing the gang’s links to roughly 46–50 thefts across Delhi and neighbouring states, with locals also reported to have assaulted the suspects after the car was stopped.
