- PPL reported about 12,000 customers without service statewide Thursday afternoon, including roughly 2,100 in central Pennsylvania with 1,070 in Dauphin and 670 in Lancaster.
- In total, more than 83,700 customers experienced interruptions from the storm, and over 66,140 had been restored by 6 a.m., according to PPL.
- Most remaining repairs in Dauphin, Cumberland and Lancaster were estimated between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday, with some outages in Lancaster and Perry projected into Friday.
- The National Weather Service cited gusts up to 55 mph as the driver of damage, and responders reported numerous downed trees, including a person trapped after a tree fell on a home in Conewago Township.
- Utilities urged safety around downed wires and portable generators and directed customers to report outages and check restoration times via online maps and alerts.
