Thousands in Buenos Aires Still Without Power After Overnight Blackout

Regulators are investigating the failure that left nearly 12,000 customers without power after most of the network was restored by 4 AM.

  • The blackout peaked at 3:15 AM when 495,290 users lost power, including 492,345 Edesur customers and 2,945 Edenor customers.
  • Service recovery began immediately and by 6:30 AM only 9,860 Edesur and 2,011 Edenor users remained without electricity.
