- Disney Entertainment co-chair Alan Bergman announced the transition in a Sept. 3 memo, setting Schumacher’s exit for the end of September.

- Under Schumacher, Disney Theatrical’s 10 Broadway titles drew about 240 million attendees worldwide, earned 20 Tony Awards and produced three of Broadway’s 15 longest-running shows.
- Schumacher joined Disney through animation as a producer on The Rescuers Down Under, became president of Disney Animation in 1999 and shifted to lead Disney Theatrical full time in 2002 before moving to the CCO role in 2023.
