Overview
- The couple’s media lawyer confirmed in June that Thomas and Lisa Müller had agreed to an amicable separation and asked for privacy.
- Late-July reports from multiple outlets say Müller was seen with 26-year-old Eve Rose Bitbol at the World Cup final and the MLS All-Star Game, and that they then traveled together to Canada.
- Those reports rely on eyewitness accounts and public profiles and have not been officially confirmed; Müller's lawyer declined to comment, saying only that they would not comment.
- Media profiles describe Bitbol as a recent ESSEC Business School graduate working in international investment and capital markets, and note she has kept a low public profile.
- The story is unfolding against Müller’s move to Vancouver and active MLS season, where he recently scored for the Whitecaps, and it could increase scrutiny of his private life despite calls for discretion.
