Overview
- The announcement, which published June 23, confirms a new album titled The Singer In My Band will be released September 11 on Matador Records and is available for pre-order.
- The lead single “Billy Came Back” and a music video directed by Alan “Rickman” Official were released with the announcement to introduce the album’s road-focused sound.
- Amos engineered, produced, and performed nearly the entire record himself, with banjo from his father Bob Amos and additional vocals from his sister Sarah Amos and partner Al Nardo.
- The campaign pairs the album with an expanded North American and UK tour that follows summer festival dates including Newport Folk Fest, Just Like Heaven, and Riot Fest and features multiple sold-out shows.
- BrooklynVegan is offering a lime green vinyl variant limited to 500 copies and the release builds on Amos’s rising profile after his 2024 surprise hit, 2025 re-recordings, and a 2026 super-deluxe edition.
