- DC Superior Court documents confirm the arrest of 18-year-old Naqwan Antonio Lucas in the June 30 shooting death of 21-year-old Eric Tarpinian-Jachym.

- Police say multiple suspects exited a vehicle and opened fire, wounding a woman and a 16-year-old boy as Tarpinian-Jachym later died at a hospital.
