Third Stone-Throwing Injury on Mumbai Harbour Line Near Reay Road

Police plan to register a case once the injured woman files a complaint.

Overview

  • Shivani, 28, suffered a head injury when a stone struck the ladies’ coach of a CSMT–Goregaon slow local near Reay Road around 7:15 p.m. on September 26.
  • She was given first aid at Cotton Green by train manager Dashrath Aryan and was taken to KEM Hospital by Government Railway Police personnel.
  • GRP officers inspected the stretch near Reay Road, questioned nearby residents, and reported no suspects, slum clusters, or witnesses at the site.

  • This case follows two similar incidents reported this month near Sewri and Wadala that also injured women commuters.
