Third Death in a Week at Grand Canyon as Body of Missing Woman Recovered

The 20-year-old's remains were found 150 feet below the rim, marking the 11th fatality at the park this year.

Leticia Castillo, 20, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was found dead after a multi-day search.
Her body was located below Twin Overlooks along Desert View Drive.
This incident follows the deaths of a BASE jumper and a college student earlier in the week.
Investigations are ongoing, with no cause of death released for Castillo.
Grand Canyon National Park averages 17 deaths annually, with 11 recorded so far in 2024.
