• Staffordshire Police’s dog team received Police Dog Team of the Year after facing bricks and fireworks during Tamworth disorder on August 4, 2024, with PD Bones burned by a firework.
• Durham Police’s digital detection dog Louie was recognized for finding a phone at a fatal crash scene that showed driver Darryl Anderson made calls, sent texts and photographed a speed of 141mph.
• Humberside Police dog Yoiko earned the Outstanding Bravery Award after protecting handler Pc Tom Marsden from a man with a shovel in a room set on fire in Hull.
• Retired Surrey Police dog Fiji received a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Cleveland Police dog Dutch was honored with a Lifesaver Award for rescuing a missing man on his first shift in Hartlepool.
• The Thin Blue Paw Foundation presented the awards at the Kennel Club in London to celebrate and support working and retired police dogs across the UK.
