Thieves Steal Humvees and Military Gear from California Army Reserve Center
Three Humvees and various military equipment were taken after suspects cut through a fence and broke into storage lockers in Tustin, California.
- Three Humvees, including one armored model, were stolen from the Tustin Army Reserve Center on January 8, 2025, between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
- The thieves also took military gear, including 40 binoculars, 18 bayonets, eight machine gun vehicle mounts, seven machine gun tripods, and unspecified medical equipment.
- Suspects gained access by cutting through a fence and breaking locks on multiple storage lockers; an attempt to access uniform storage was unsuccessful.
- This marks the fourth Humvee theft from California military facilities in the past five years, with previous incidents occurring in Bell, Upland, and Santa Rosa.
- Authorities, including the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division and Tustin Police, are seeking public assistance in locating the stolen vehicles and equipment.
