Overview
- Real Madrid confirmed in a club communiqué and an official tweet that Thibaut Courtois is a last‑minute withdrawal for the Clasico, citing a flu‑like syndrome.
- The club added Illia Voloshyn to the matchday group and media reports indicate Andriy Lunin will start in goal for the fixture.
- The announcement was made hours before the 21:00 kick‑off and forces José Mourinho to reshuffle a side already missing key players because of suspension and long‑term injuries.
- Barcelona also published injury updates that leave them without several regulars, so both teams will play the LaLiga match with disrupted lineups.
- The change hands a major game responsibility to Lunin, who has not featured this season, and could alter Real Madrid’s tactical approach and chances at Camp Nou.
