'The Zone of Interest' Dominates LA Film Critics Awards

Jonathan Glazer's acclaimed Holocaust drama sweeps top categories, while 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' also receive recognition.

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association has announced the winners of its 2023 awards, with 'The Zone of Interest' sweeping many of the top categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Leading Performance for Sandra Hüller.
'Oppenheimer' was named runner-up for Best Picture, while 'Barbie' star Ryan Gosling earned a runner-up nod in the Supporting Performer category.
The Best Cinematography award went to Robbie Ryan for 'Poor Things', with Rodrigo Prieto being the runner-up for his work on 'Killers of the Flower Moon' and 'Barbie'.
The Best Music/Score was awarded to Mica Levi for 'The Zone of Interest', with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt being the runners-up for 'Barbie'.
The Best Production Design award was won by Sarah Greenwood for 'Barbie', with Shona Heath and James Price being the runners-up for 'Poor Things'.
