The Wolf Among Us Remastered Set for October 29 Release

A rebuilt edition modernizes the five-episode noir adventure with visual upgrades, improved accessibility, a black-and-white Noir Mode, plus archival bonus material to ready players for the sequel.

Overview

  • Telltale Games and co-publisher PM Studios announced at Gamescom on Thursday that The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch on October 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
  • The studio says the remaster is rebuilt and refined with enhanced visuals, refined character and environment presentation, an updated user interface, improved accessibility options, and technical upgrades to animation, audio, resolution, and framerate.
  • The release packages all five original episodic chapters—Episode 1: Faith; Episode 2: Smoke and Mirrors; Episode 3: A Crooked Mile; Episode 4: In Sheep’s Clothing; Episode 5: Cry Wolf—into a single product.
  • A new Noir Mode will let players experience the full game in black-and-white, and the remaster includes over an hour of archival bonus material such as behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes.
  • Telltale positions the remaster as a way to reacquaint new and returning players ahead of The Wolf Among Us 2, which remains reported with a loose 2027 launch window and no firm date yet.
